MARK MOULYNOX
There are many ways to describe Mark Moulynox, but nothing sums it up
quite like ‘versatile’. A vocal recording artist, song-writer,
multi-instrumentalist and music tutor, music has become a way of life
for this man.
A self-taught musician, Mark refined his skills on the guitar, banjo,
dobro and pedal steel guitar while touring with the popular
Sydney-based gospel band “Country Sound” during the 1980’s. His obvious
natural talent soon threw him into the deep end of solo performance and
continues to place him in demand as a session musician.
A Top 10 finalist in the prestigious Starmaker quest in the ‘80’s, Mark
became a fixture in the Starmaker backing band over the next ten years.
This time was also highlighted with the airplay success of Mark’s song
“Remember” on Sydney’s 2WS and the release of his album “Brand New”.
1998 hailed a new era with the release of Mark’s first children’s album
and songbook “Learning to Care” which is now distributed to schools
Australia wide.
Mark is currently promoting his gospel album “Give them all”, the
culmination of this lifetime of experiences. With nine of ten tracks
his own compositions, Mark takes the opportunity to share his Christian
walk and his passion for music through his album, which receives
extensive airplay Australia wide. The promotion of the album continues
to provide new opportunities, and Mark has recently enjoyed working
alongside well-known artists Steve Grace and Brendon Walmsley at the
Australian Gospel Music Festival in Toowoomba.
While juggling his hectic schedule as a studio musician, music tutor
and family man, Mark continues to tour throughout the country, not only
entertaining, but challenging people to consider their relationships
with each other and with God.
A remarkable performer, a versatile musician and a man with a heart to reach people for God.
For Mark Moulynox, music is a way of life.
